This team manages the labour supply chain for IGO's farm and project operations, coordinating with contractors and labour vendors to ensure the right workforce is in place at the right time, at every site. The team scales workforce availability up or down in step with seasonal farm-cycle demand.
Labour Procurement & Planning
Plans workforce requirements for every farm site and project across IGO — forecasting labour needs by season and activity, and ensuring the right headcount is sourced and deployed on time.
Vendor Identification & Empanelment
Identifies, evaluates and empanels labour contractors and manpower agencies across regions — maintaining an approved vendor list with performance records for each supplier.
Contract Negotiation
Negotiates labour supply contracts with vendors, securing competitive rates, clear SLAs and legally compliant terms that protect IGO's interests while ensuring fair treatment for workers.
Seasonal Workforce Scaling
Manages large-scale workforce mobilisation during peak farming seasons — rapidly scaling headcount up or down across multiple farm sites in coordination with Agri Operations.
Vendor Performance Monitoring
Tracks the performance of every empanelled labour vendor — assessing attendance rates, quality of workers supplied and contract adherence, and replacing underperforming vendors promptly.
Compliance & Worker Welfare
Ensures all labour contractors comply with applicable labour laws, minimum wage norms and worker welfare standards — protecting IGO from legal exposure and upholding ethical employment practices.
